Speaking prompts on the board

  1. Ask your partner what their favourite animal is and why they like it.
  2. Act out a big elephant walking slowly. Your partner guesses the animal.
  3. Describe a zoo you have visited. What animals did you see there?
  4. Ask your partner: can you swim like a dolphin? Show them how.
  5. Your team must agree: which animal is the most dangerous? Explain why.
  6. Stand up and mime a monkey jumping in the trees. Make funny sounds!
  7. Compare two animals. Which one is faster, and which one is bigger?
  8. Ask your partner: have you ever seen a real lion? Where was it?
  9. You have 30 seconds to describe your dream holiday with animals.
  10. Discuss with your group: what animals live in your country?
  11. Act out a sleepy giraffe eating leaves from a tall tree.

  19. Compare: are birds or fish more interesting? Give two reasons.
