Young learners race around a 24-space football-themed board, speaking Dutch football vocabulary in pairs and small groups. Players land on prompts that ask them to name positions, describe actions, or share their favourite football moments. Chance cards add surprises. Speaking prompts on the board
- Say the names of three football positions in Dutch.
- Act out kicking a ball. Say: 'Ik schop de bal!'
- Tell your partner one thing a goalkeeper does.
- Say five football words: bal, voet, doel, team, spel.
- Describe what colour your favourite football team is.
- Ask your partner: 'Speel je graag voetbal?' Answer in Dutch.
- Say the Dutch words for: goal, player, coach, referee.
- Act out heading the ball. Say: 'Ik kop de bal!'
- Tell your group: 'Mijn favoriete voetballer is...'
- Say: 'De bal is...' and name a colour in Dutch.
- Pair talk: What do you wear to play football?
- Mime throwing the ball in. Say: 'Ik gooi de bal in!'
- Say the name of a famous Dutch football team.
