Vocabulary Quest: The Speaking Adventure
A 24-space board game where young learners at B1 level create sentences using mixed intermediate vocabulary (objects, actions, adjectives, prepositions). Teams compete by answering speaking prompts that require full sentences and genuine communication. Chance cards add surprise moves and mini-language tasks.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner what they keep hidden in their backpack and why.
- Describe a time you broke something fragile and what happened after.
- Act out trying to reach something on a high shelf — your partner guesses what.
- Your team must agree: which object in this classroom is most useful?
- Ask your partner what they do when they feel anxious or worried.
- Explain how you prepare before going to a birthday party.
- Stand up and mime opening a very heavy door — your team guesses the location.
- Compare your bedroom with your partner's bedroom — what is different?
- You have 30 seconds to present: describe your favorite meal and why you like it.
- Discuss with your group: what should you do if you lose your house key?
- Ask your partner about a time they helped someone in trouble.
- Act out being stuck in an elevator with a stranger — show your feelings.
- Describe what you see when you look through a window on a rainy day.
- Your team must agree: what is the best way to spend a rainy afternoon?
- Explain how you would comfort a friend who is sad or disappointed.
- You have 60 seconds to convince your group that your favorite sport is the best.
- Stand up and mime getting dressed in a hurry — show what you struggle with.
