Travel Around the World - A2 Speaking Board Game
Teens travel the globe in teams of four, landing on spaces that prompt pair talk, group discussions, mini-presentations, and action-based speaking tasks. Players use basic travel vocabulary and simple past/present tenses to describe destinations, experiences, and travel plans while moving through 24 spaces on a classic classroom board.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner: What is your favourite country? Why do you like it?
- Discuss with your group: Where should we go on holiday together? Agree on one place.
- Act out packing a suitcase for the beach. Use hand gestures. Your team guesses what you pack.
- Tell your partner about a trip you took. Use: I went to... I saw... It was...
- Your team must agree: Is it better to travel by plane, train, or car? Say why.
- Stand up and mime arriving at an airport. Check in, go through security, board the plane.
- Tell the class about a famous landmark you know. Where is it? What is it like?
- Ask your partner: What do you pack when you travel? Name 5 things.
- Discuss with your group: What is the best time to visit your country? Why?
- Act out ordering food at a restaurant in another country. Use gestures and simple words.
- Answer: If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go? Describe it.
- Tell your partner about a souvenir you bought or want to buy. What is it? Where from?
- Your team votes: Beach, mountains, or city? Present your choice to the class.
- Stand up and mime getting lost in a new city. Show confusion, ask for help.
