Transport Quest
Young learners race around a 24-space board answering questions, acting out scenes, and discussing transport in English. Teams compete to reach FINISH first while practising A2 speaking skills through pair work, group discussion, and creative tasks.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner how they come to school. Do they walk, take a bus, or come by car?
- Act out getting on a train. Your team guesses what you are doing.
- Describe your favourite vehicle. What colour is it? Why do you like it?
- Your team must agree: which is faster — a car or a bicycle?
- Ask your partner where they went last week. How did they get there?
- Stand up and mime driving a car. Make the steering wheel with your hands.
- Explain one rule you follow when you travel. For example: I wear a seatbelt.
- Compare buses and cars. Which one is cheaper? Which is more fun?
- You have 30 seconds to present your dream vehicle. What is it? Why do you want it?
- Ask your partner: have you ever been on a plane? What was it like?
- Discuss with your group: what vehicles do you see on your street every day?
- Act out a taxi driver. Your team asks where you are going.
- Describe how you get to your favourite place. Is it far or near?
- Your team must agree on the best transport for a rainy day. Why?
- Stand up and mime riding a bicycle. Pedal fast! Can you go backwards?
- Ask your partner what vehicle they would like to drive when they grow up.
- Explain what you do on a long car journey. Do you read, sleep, or play games?
- Compare walking and riding a bike. Which is better for your health? Why?
- You have 30 seconds to convince your team: which transport is the most fun?
- Act out waiting at a bus stop. Show how you feel when the bus is late.
- Describe a journey you took recently. Where did you go? Who went with you?
- Discuss with your group: what is the best transport for visiting a beach?
- Ask your partner: can you ride a skateboard or a scooter? How long did you learn?
