Speaking prompts on the board
- START: Pair share—tell your partner one thing you used to do as a child. Use 'used to' in 2–3 sentences.
- Describe what is happening in the classroom right now. Use present simple and present continuous.
- Small group: Discuss three things there are in your ideal home. Explain why each matters to you.
- Present: Tell the group about a memorable event you attended. Use past simple and past perfect.
- Pair debate: Should people use social media daily? State your position using present simple.
- Narrate a habit you have now. Compare it to a habit you had five years ago using present simple + used to.
- Describe a place you visited. Use there was / there were to explain what you found.
- Group share: What have you accomplished this month? Use present perfect with 'have/has + past participle'.
- Pair talk: Predict three things that will happen in the next year. Use future simple + will.
- Present a short story using all four past tenses: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous.
- Small group: Discuss routines. Use present simple to describe three daily habits and why they matter.
- Describe your bedroom or office. Use there is / there are and present simple adjectives.
- Pair debate: Has technology improved our lives? Support your view using present perfect evidence.
- Tell a partner about a skill you learned. Use past simple + present perfect to show your progress.
- Group presentation: Describe your career goals using future simple and present continuous plans.
- FINISH: Reflect aloud on one tense you found challenging today and give an example sentence.
