This or That Speaking Adventure

A 4-team board game where young learners (B1) navigate 24 spaces by answering engaging 'This or That' questions and completing varied speaking tasks. Players discuss preferences, act out scenarios, present ideas, and work together to reach the finish line.

Speaking prompts on the board

  1. Ask your partner: would you rather have a pet cat or a pet dog? Why?
  2. This or that: do you like pizza or hamburgers better? Explain your choice.
  3. Act out brushing your teeth in the morning. Your team guesses what you are doing.
  4. Ask your partner what they eat for breakfast and whether they like it.
  5. Your team must agree: is summer or winter the better season? Tell us why.
  6. This or that: do you prefer playing sports or playing video games? Why?
  7. Stand up and mime getting dressed for school. Your team guesses each item.
