Tenses Time Travel
A classic board game where teens practise past, present, and future tenses through pair-talk, team discussion, and action-based speaking tasks. Players move around a 24-space board, answering communicative prompts anchored to real situations.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner what they did last weekend and why they enjoyed it.
- Act out making breakfast while your team guesses what food you are preparing.
- Describe your school day yesterday using three different activities you did.
- Your team must agree: what is the best way to spend free time after school?
- Ask your partner what they can do now that they could not do two years ago.
- Compare your morning routine with your partner's. How is it different?
- You have 30 seconds to present your plans for next weekend to the class.
- Stand up and mime getting ready for school. Your team guesses what you are doing.
- Ask your partner about a sport or hobby they want to learn. Why do they want to learn it?
- Discuss with your group: what will you do if you miss the school bus tomorrow?
- Explain which subject you liked most last year and give one reason why.
- Act out your typical evening routine. Can your partner name three things you did?
- Ask your partner what they will do after this class finishes today.
- Your team has 45 seconds to decide: what is the worst thing about homework?
- Describe a meal you cooked or ate recently. What did it taste like?
- You have 30 seconds to convince the class why learning English is important for your future.
- Stand up and show with your hands how you play your favourite sport or game.
- Compare two friends you have. How are they different in personality or interests?
- Ask your partner: what will you buy first when you have enough money?
- Discuss with your group: what is the best way to stay healthy as a teenager?
- Explain what you did last summer that made you happy.
- Act out waiting at a bus stop. Your partner asks you questions about where you are going.
- Ask your partner what they will study next year and why they chose it.
- Your team must agree on one rule that would make school better for everyone.
