Shape Quest: A Speaking Adventure
Young learners race around a 24-space board, landing on shape-themed speaking prompts. Players pair-talk, act out shapes, present to the class, and work as teams to describe and identify squares, circles, and triangles. Chance cards add excitement and unpredictability.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner what shape their bedroom door is and why.
- Ask your partner to describe a circle they see in their home.
- Ask your partner which shape they like best and why they chose it.
- Stand up and use your arms to make a big triangle. Say the word.
- Act out drawing a square in the air. Your partner guesses the shape.
- Your team must agree: which shape is easiest to draw? Tell why.
- Discuss with your group: find three things in the classroom that are circles.
- What shape is your favorite toy? Describe it to the class.
- Tell us about a triangle you see every day. Where is it?
- How many square things can you find in your bedroom? Tell us.
- You have 30 seconds: describe your favorite shape and say why you like it.
- Say: I can see a circle in the classroom. Where is it? Show your friends.
- Say: A triangle has three sides. Can you point to a triangle here?
- Name your favorite shape and tell your partner two things about it.
- What shape is your pizza? Explain what you see when you look at it.
