Sentence Sprint: Complete or Run-On?
Young learners race around a 24-space board, identifying and fixing run-on sentences while speaking in complete sentences. Teams earn moves by answering grammar questions and performing communicative tasks anchored to real-world situations—no predetermined answers.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner what they did after school yesterday and why they did it.
- Act out getting dressed for school. Your team guesses each piece of clothing.
- Your team must agree: what is one complete sentence about your classroom?
- Describe your favorite meal and explain why you like it.
- Ask your partner: do they like mornings or evenings better and why?
- Stand up and mime brushing your teeth. Say what you do first.
- You have 30 seconds to present: describe your best friend and one thing you do together.
