Young learners race around a 24-space board, landing on prompts that invite them to speak about short-vowel words in real contexts. Players ask each other questions, act out words, and work as teams to build confidence with /æ/, /ɛ/, /ɪ/, and /ɒ/ sounds.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner: What is your favorite animal? Say the name.
- Act out a cat running. Your partner says what you are doing.
- Ask your partner: Do you like to sit on a mat or a bed?
- Your team must agree: Is a hat red, blue, or yellow?
- Describe your favorite pet. Say its name and one thing it can do.
- Act out eating an apple. Say: I eat an apple.
- Ask your partner: What is in your bag at school?
- You have 30 seconds to present: What is your name and age?
- Show with your hands: How big is an egg? How big is a bed?
- Discuss with your group: Which is better, a pen or a pencil?
- Ask your partner: What do you like to drink? Milk or water?
- Act out getting dressed. Say what you put on your body.
- Explain: What do you do when you feel sad?
- Stand up and mime sitting in a big chair. Say: I sit.
- Your team must agree: Which is bigger, a pig or a dog?
- Ask your partner: What is your favorite food? Do you like it?
- You have 60 seconds to describe your classroom. What do you see?
- Show with your hands: How do you open a box? Do it now.
