Story
- Today is the day! You are going on an aeroplane for the first time. You feel nervous and excited. Your parent takes you to the airport. There are many, many people everywhere. You see big aeroplanes outside the window. What do you do first?
- You walk to the check-in desk with your parent. The line is very long. You wait for 15 minutes. Finally, it is your turn! The woman at the desk smiles and asks for your passport. You give it to her. She checks your bag and gives you a boarding pass. Now you must go to security.
- You find the bathroom and wash your hands. You feel a little better now. Your parent is waiting for you outside. You go back to check-in together. The line is shorter now. You check in quickly and get your boarding pass.
- You sit by the window and watch the big aeroplanes take off. It is amazing! You see people loading bags into the aeroplane. You see the aeroplane move on the ground. Then it goes faster and faster. Finally, it flies into the sky!
- You go into the airport shop with your parent. There are many things to buy—books, toys, snacks, and drinks. You buy some chocolate and a magazine. But then you look at the time. Oh no! You spent 20 minutes in the shop. Your parent says, 'We need to go to security now!'
- You arrive at security. There are many people in the queue. A security officer tells you to take off your shoes and jacket. You put them in a plastic box. You put your bag in another box. Then you walk through a big machine. Beep! It is OK. You passed security!
- You watch the aeroplanes for another 20 minutes. You forget about the time! Your parent suddenly says, 'Oh no! We need to go to the gate now! Security closes soon!' You run with your parent. But you did not check in yet! You missed check-in. You cannot get on the aeroplane today.
- You stop at the bathroom. It takes five more minutes. Now you are running late for security! You and your parent run to the security queue. The line is long again. The gate closes in 30 minutes. You might not make it! You get to security and walk through quickly. You passed!
