Jobs Around Town

A colorful board game where young learners move along 24 spaces, each featuring a speaking task about jobs. Players practice 'He is' and 'She is' sentences, describe different workers, and act out professions. Four teams race to the finish while building confidence in job vocabulary and simple present-tense speech.

Speaking prompts on the board

  1. What is your favorite job? Why do you like it?
  2. Act out a farmer working in the field
  3. Describe a nurse. What does a nurse do?
  4. Is a pilot or a taxi driver more exciting?
  5. Do you want to be a doctor? Why or why not?
  6. Stand up and mime a firefighter putting out a fire. Act it out!
  7. What job does your mother or father do?
  8. Which job is the most important? Agree together.
