Greetings Game
Young learners move around a 24-space board answering questions about greetings, names, and how they feel. Players ask each other questions, act out greetings, and share information about themselves. Perfect for A1 learners building confidence with basic social phrases.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner: What is your name? Listen and say their name back.
- Act out saying hello to a friend. Wave and smile. Your partner guesses.
- Ask your partner: How are you today? Say: I am happy / tired / excited.
- Your team must agree: What do we say when we meet a teacher?
- Stand up and mime saying goodbye to someone. Wave with both hands.
- Ask your partner: What is your favorite greeting? Do you like hugs or waves?
- Describe your morning greeting. Who do you say hello to first at home?
- Act out a sleepy morning greeting. Yawn and rub your eyes. Say hello slowly.
- You have 30 seconds to present: Show three ways to greet someone.
- Ask your partner: Do you say hello to your pet? What sound does it make?
- Discuss with your group: When do we say goodbye? Morning, afternoon, or night?
- Stand up and show how you greet your best friend. Use your hands and face.
- Explain: What do you say when someone says hello to you?
- Act out meeting a new person. Shake hands and say your name. Smile big!
- Ask your partner: How do you greet your grandmother or grandfather?
- Your team must agree: What is the nicest greeting in your language?
- Describe: Do you say hello with words, a wave, or a hug? Why?
- Stand up and mime a very formal greeting. Bow or nod politely.
- You have 30 seconds to present: Say hello in three different ways.

- Act out saying hello to a teacher, a friend, and a baby. Use different voices.
