Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner what time they wake up and what they do first.
- Act out getting dressed for school. Your team guesses what you are doing.
- Describe your favorite breakfast. Say what you like and why.
- Ask your partner what sports they can play and which one they like best.
- Your team must agree: which is better, winter or summer? Say why.
- Compare your school bag to your partner's. Say what is different.
- Act out your favorite animal. Your team guesses what you are.
- Ask your partner what they did last weekend and where they went.
- You have 30 seconds to describe your best friend—say three things about them.
- Discuss with your group: what is the best food? Everyone says one food.
- Show with your hands: how tall you are, how big your school is, how fast you run.
- Ask your partner what they are going to do after school today.
- Explain what you cannot do but want to learn. Say why you want to learn it.
- Act out brushing your teeth, eating lunch, and doing homework. Your team guesses.
- Your team must agree: what is the best thing about school? Say three reasons.
- Ask your partner: do they have any pets? What are they? What do they do?
- You have 30 seconds to present your ideal weekend. Say what you will do.
- Compare two animals. Say which is bigger, faster, or stronger.
- Stand up and mime getting ready for bed. Your team guesses each action.
- Discuss with your group: what is harder—math or English? Everyone says why.
