Global Adventures: Travelling, Shopping, Friends & Home
A 35-space speaking board game for B1 young learners. Players move through themed spaces covering travelling, shopping, friendship, home/school duties, and food. Each space triggers pair talk, group discussion, action prompts, or mini-presentations. Four teams compete by speaking naturally about daily life and shared experiences.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner what country they want to visit and why they want to go there.
- Act out packing a suitcase for a beach holiday. Your partner guesses what you pack.
- Describe your favourite shop and explain what you like to buy there.
- Your team must agree on the best snack to bring on a long trip.
- Ask your partner what they eat for lunch at school and if they like it.
- Stand up and mime brushing your teeth before bed. Your partner guesses.
- Compare your bedroom with your partner's bedroom. What is different?
- You have 30 seconds to present your best friend and why they are special.
- Explain what chores you do at home and which one is your least favourite.
- Your team must agree: what is the healthiest food to eat every day?
- Ask your partner about their favourite meal and what is in it.
- Act out going to a clothes shop and trying on a jacket. Show your face.
- Describe how you spend time with your friends after school.
- Discuss with your group: what is the most important thing in a friendship?
- Explain what you do in the morning before you go to school.
- You have 60 seconds to convince your team which holiday is the best.
- Ask your partner what they buy at the supermarket and how much it costs.
- Stand up and show with your hands how to set a table for dinner.
- Compare your school day with your partner's school day. What is similar?
- Your team must agree on the best gift to give a friend for their birthday.
- Describe a food you do not like and explain why you do not like it.
- Act out waiting in a shop queue. Show how you feel when you wait too long.
- Explain what you do on the weekend with your family or friends.
- Ask your partner what they help with at home and why it is important.
- You have 60 seconds to present your favourite restaurant and why you like it.
- Discuss with your group: which is better, shopping online or in a real shop?
- Describe what clothes you wear when you go on holiday to a hot country.
