Speaking prompts on the board
- Tell what country you would like to visit and why you want to go there.
- Describe your favourite dish (3 examples) and explain why you enjoy eating it so much.
- Your team must agree on the best place to shop for clothes and say why you chose it.
- Ask your partner about their best friend and what makes that person special to them.
- Explain what chores you do at home and how often you do each one.
- Stand up and mime making breakfast. Your team guesses what you are preparing.
- Compare your school day with your weekend. What is different and what is the same?
- Ask your partner what they usually buy when they go shopping and how much they spend.
- You have 60 seconds to present your ideal holiday destination and what you would do there.
- Discuss with your group: what is the healthiest food and why should we eat it?
- Describe a time you helped a friend and explain what you did to help them.
- Act out doing your homework. Your partner describes what subject you are studying.
- Ask your partner about their favourite meal and what ingredients are in it.
- Your team must agree: what makes a good friend? Give at least three reasons.
- Explain how you help your family at home and why it is important to help.
- Stand up and show with your hands how you brush your teeth. Say the steps.
- Describe your favourite shop and explain what you like to buy there.
- Ask your partner what they do after school and whether they enjoy those activities.
- You have 30 seconds to convince your team that vegetables are delicious and healthy.
- Discuss with your group: what is the best way to spend time with friends?
- Compare your bedroom with your classroom. What furniture is in each place?
- Act out going to a restaurant and ordering food. Your partner is the server.
- Explain what you like to do on weekends and why those activities make you happy.
- Tell about last holiday you took and what you did there.
- Describe your typical school day from morning to afternoon in detail.
