Fruit Market Race
A 24-space board game where young A2 learners speak about fruits, preferences, and market scenarios. Players land on spaces and complete speaking tasks—asking partners, acting out, presenting, and discussing. Chance cards add surprise movement and bonus speaking challenges.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner: What is your favourite fruit and why do you like it?
- Act out picking an apple from a tree. Your team guesses what you are doing.
- Describe a banana. What colour is it? Is it soft or hard?
- Ask your partner: Do you like oranges? Have you ever eaten orange juice?
- Your team must agree: Which fruit is the best for a healthy lunch?
- Stand up and mime eating a watermelon. Show how big it is with your hands.
- Compare two fruits: Which is bigger, a strawberry or a pineapple? Why?
- Ask your partner: What fruit did you eat yesterday? Was it sweet or sour?
- You have 30 seconds to present: Describe your favourite fruit to the class.
- Discuss with your group: Which fruits grow in your country? Name at least two.
- Act out going to a fruit market. Show how you choose a good apple.
- Explain: How do you eat a mango? Is it easy or difficult?
- Ask your partner: Can you cook with fruits? What can you make?
- Your team must agree: What is the best fruit for making juice?
- Stand up and mime cutting a lemon in half. Show squeezing the juice.
- Compare: Are grapes cheaper than apples? Which do you buy more often?
- You have 45 seconds to convince your team: Why should we eat more fruit?
- Describe a fruit salad. What fruits are in it? What colour is it?
- Ask your partner: What is the most expensive fruit? What is the cheapest?
- Discuss with your group: When do you eat fruit? At breakfast or as a snack?
- Act out a fruit seller at the market. Show different fruits and their prices.
- Explain: Why are some fruits red and some are yellow? What does colour mean?
- Ask your partner: Have you ever tried a fruit you did not like? Which one?
- You have 60 seconds: Present your dream fruit smoothie. What fruits are in it?
