Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner what they ate for breakfast today and if they liked it.
- Act out getting dressed for school. Your partner guesses what you are putting on.
- Your team must agree: what is the best time of day and why?
- Describe your favourite animal using three words. Say why you like it.
- Ask your partner what they did last weekend. Ask one more question about it.
- You have 30 seconds to present your perfect day. What do you do and who is with you?
- Stand up and mime brushing your teeth. Your team says the steps you do.
- Discuss with your group: what is your favourite food and why do you like it?
- Ask your partner: do you like rainy days or sunny days? Why?
- Compare your school bag with your partner's bag. Say what is the same and what is different.
- Act out playing your favourite sport. Your partner guesses what sport it is.
- Explain to the class: what do you do after school? Name two things you do.
- Your team has 30 seconds to agree: what is the best pet and why?
- Ask your partner: what is your favourite colour? Ask them why they like it.
- Show with your hands: how tall is your best friend? Describe them in two sentences.
- You have 45 seconds to tell the class about your family. Say their names and one thing they do.
- Act out your morning routine from waking up to leaving home. Your partner describes what you do.
- Discuss with your group: what is the best weather for playing outside and why?
- Ask your partner: what can you do well? What is difficult for you?
- Describe your classroom to your partner. Say where the teacher sits and where you sit.
- Stand up and show how you move when you are happy, sad, and tired. Explain each one.
- Your team must agree: what is the most fun game to play at school and why?
- Ask your partner: where do you want to go on holiday? What will you do there?
- You have 60 seconds to tell the class about your best friend. Say their name, age, and one thing you do together.
