Speaking prompts on the board
- What is your favourite colour? Say the colour and name one thing that is that colour.
- Ask your partner: What is your favourite animal? Listen and repeat the animal name.
- Act out a big animal walking. Your partner guesses which animal it is.
- Say the letters in your first name. Say them slowly and clearly for your partner.
- Your team must agree: What is your favourite number between one and ten?
- Ask your partner: How many brothers and sisters do you have? Say the number.
- Describe your favourite family member. Say their name and one thing about them.
- Act out jumping. Your partner watches and says: You are jumping!
- Ask your partner: What colour is your shirt? Listen and say the colour back.
- You have 30 seconds to present: Show your hand and name five colours you can see.
- Stand up and mime eating. Your partner guesses what you are doing.
- Discuss with your group: Which animal is fast? Which animal is slow?
- Count from one to ten out loud. Say the numbers clearly and slowly.
- Ask your partner: What is your favourite letter? Why do you like that letter?
- Describe a small animal. Say what colour it is and what it can do.
- Act out sleeping. Your partner says: You are sleeping! Then swap roles.
- You have 30 seconds to present: Tell the class about your family. Say one name.
- Your team must agree: What is the best colour? Say why you like that colour.
- Ask your partner: Can you run? Can you swim? Listen to their answers.
- Stand up and show: Can you touch your nose? Can you jump high?
- Say the alphabet: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J. Say it clearly.
- Ask your partner: What number is your house or apartment? Say the number.
- Describe your favourite animal. Say the colour and one thing it can do.
- Act out three different verbs: running, sitting, and waving. Your partner names them.
- You have 30 seconds to present: Say your name, your favourite colour, and one animal.
