Color Quest: A Primary & Secondary Adventure
Young learners travel around a 24-space board, answering speaking prompts about primary colors (red, blue, yellow) and secondary colors (orange, green, purple). Players must explain color choices, describe objects, act out color mixing, and discuss favorite colors with genuine communicative intent. Chance cards add surprise moves and quick speaking tasks.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Describe a red object in your classroom. What is it used for?
- Your team must agree: which secondary color is the most beautiful? Explain your choice.
- Act out mixing blue and red paint together. Show what color you make!
- Ask your partner: what color are their eyes and their favorite color to wear?
- Stand up and mime picking a yellow flower. Your team guesses what you are doing.
- You have 30 seconds to present: describe three things in your home that are green.
- Discuss with your group: which fruit is orange and why is it that color?
- Ask your partner: what color is their school bag and why did they choose it?
- Explain how you make the color purple using two primary colors.
- Act out painting a wall blue. Show your movements to your team.
- Compare red and pink. How are they the same and how are they different?
- Your team must agree on a color for a new playground. Why is that color good?
- You have 60 seconds to convince your group: what is the best color for a school uniform?
- Ask your partner: what color do they see most often in their bedroom?
- Describe a purple object you have seen. Where was it and what was it?
- Stand up and show with your hands: how big is something that is orange?
- Discuss with your group: which secondary color would be best for a bicycle and why?
- Ask your partner: what is their favorite secondary color and what does it remind them of?
- Explain why the sky is blue and not yellow or red.
- Act out mixing yellow and blue paint. Show your team what color appears!
- You have 45 seconds to present: describe your favorite rainbow and which colors are in it.
- Your team must agree: which primary color is the most important and explain why.
- Ask your partner: if they could paint their bedroom one color, which would it be and why?
