Birthday Party Board Game
Young learners race around a 24-space birthday-themed board, answering speaking prompts about parties, gifts, cake, friends, and celebrations. Players take turns landing on spaces and speaking in pairs or small groups. Chance cards add fun surprises. Perfect for A2 learners to practise party vocabulary and simple past/present tenses.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Tell your partner: When is your birthday? Say the month.
- How old are you? Show with your fingers. Say the number.
- What is your favourite birthday cake flavour? Tell the group.
- Act out eating cake. Say: 'Mmm, yummy!' Tell why you like it.
- What gift do you want for your birthday? Describe it to a friend.
- Name three friends. Say their names to your partner.
- What game do you play at parties? Tell the group how to play.
- Do you like balloons? Why or why not? Say three words.
- Sing 'Happy Birthday' with your team. Clap together!
- What food is at your birthday party? List four things.
- Tell a friend: I like parties because... Give two reasons.
- What colour are your party decorations? Describe your room.
- How many candles are on the cake? Say the number and spell it.
- Who comes to your birthday party? Name three people.
- Act out blowing out candles. Make a wish and tell your partner.
