Around the World Travel Game
Players move around a 24-space board answering speaking prompts about travel, holidays, and destinations. Young learners at A2 level practice asking questions, describing places, acting out travel scenarios, and making simple comparisons. Four teams compete to reach the finish line while speaking English about real travel experiences.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner where they went last holiday and what they did there.
- Act out packing a suitcase for a beach holiday. Your team guesses what you pack.
- Describe your favourite place to visit. Is it a city, beach, or mountains?
- Ask your partner: Do you like flying in planes? Why or why not?
- Your team must agree: What is the best month for a holiday? Why?
- Stand up and mime getting on a bus. Your team says where you are going.
- You have 30 seconds to present: Describe a hotel or house you stayed in.
- Ask your partner: What food do you want to try in another country?
- Compare two countries. Which one would you like to visit? Why?
- Discuss with your group: What do you need in your backpack for travel?
- Act out checking in at an airport. Show your passport and boarding pass.
- Explain: Is it better to travel with family or with friends? Why?
- Ask your partner: Have you ever been to another country? Where?
- Your team must agree: Which is more fun—beach or mountain holiday?
- Stand up and mime swimming in the ocean. Show how the waves move.
- You have 30 seconds to present: Tell us about a famous landmark you know.
- Ask your partner: What is the longest trip you have ever taken?
- Describe a souvenir you bought or want to buy from a holiday.
- Discuss with your group: What animals can you see on holiday? Where?
- Act out taking photos at a famous place. Show your best pose!
- Compare travelling by car and travelling by train. Which do you prefer?
- You have 30 seconds to present: Describe the weather in your favourite holiday place.
