Animal Adventure Board Game
Young learners race around a 24-space board answering speaking prompts about cats, monkeys, dogs, and birds. Players use the sentence pattern 'I like...' to describe animals, ask partners questions, act out animal movements, and work together as teams. Chance cards add surprises and extra speaking turns.

Speaking prompts on the board
- Ask your partner which animal is their favorite and why they like it.
- Act out a monkey jumping and swinging in the trees. Your team guesses.
- Describe what sound a dog makes and how it moves around the house.
- Your team must agree on one animal you all like. Say it together.
- Ask your partner if they have a pet at home. What is it?
- Stand up and mime a bird flying high in the sky. Who is watching?
- Explain why you like cats more than other animals. Use full sentences.
- Your team must decide: which animal is the fastest? Tell the class.
- Ask your partner what color their favorite animal is and why.
- Show with your hands how big a monkey is. Compare it to a bird.
- Describe what a dog likes to eat and where it sleeps at night.
- You have 30 seconds to present your favorite animal to your team.
- Ask your partner which animal they would like to be and why.
- Act out a cat stretching, sleeping, and playing with a toy. Be silly!
- Compare a dog and a cat. How are they the same? How are they different?
- Your team must agree: would you like a monkey or a bird as a pet?
- Ask your partner what animal makes the loudest noise and why.
- Stand up and show how a bird sings and flaps its wings. Sing too!
- Explain which animal is the cutest and give two reasons why.
- You have 60 seconds to convince your team that your animal is the best.
- Ask your partner if they like animals that fly or animals that walk.
- Mime a dog learning a new trick. Your partner tries to guess the trick.
- Describe the animal you like the most using three words. Explain why.
- Your team must present one fun fact about cats, dogs, monkeys, or birds.
