Story
- Ming wakes up at 7:00 AM. His alarm clock is very loud! He looks at his phone and sees the time. Oh no! School starts at 8:30 AM. Ming jumps out of bed and runs to the bathroom. His cat, Xiaobai, follows him everywhere.
- Ming takes a very fast shower. The water is cold! He says 'Ahhhhh!' very loudly. His mother hears him and laughs from the kitchen. Ming gets dressed quickly in his school uniform. He looks in the mirror and smiles. He looks clean and fresh!
- Ming washes his face very quickly. He does not take a shower. He gets dressed in his school uniform. His hair is messy and funny-looking. His mother sees him and says, 'Ming! Your hair looks like a bird's nest!' Ming laughs. He tries to fix his hair with a brush.
- Ming's mother makes breakfast. She asks, 'Do you want rice or noodles?' Ming looks at the table. There is also milk, bread, and eggs. He is very hungry! He must choose quickly because it is already 7:45 AM. Xiaobai the cat sits under the table and hopes for food.
- Ming goes to his bedroom and packs his school bag. He puts in his books, his notebook, and his pencil box. He checks his homework. Good! He did it yesterday. But now it is 8:00 AM. His stomach is empty and very hungry. He hears his mother call from the kitchen, 'Ming! Come eat breakfast!'
- Ming eats rice and eggs. It is delicious! His mother gives him a glass of milk too. He eats slowly and enjoys his food. It is now 8:10 AM. He feels happy and full. He puts on his school shoes and takes his bag. He is ready to go to school!
- Ming eats bread with milk very quickly. He eats so fast that milk goes on his uniform! 'Oh no!' he says. His mother gives him a cloth to clean it. The milk stain is small but he can see it. It is 8:15 AM now. Ming must leave soon. He puts on his shoes and takes his bag.
- Ming does not eat breakfast. He is in a hurry! He puts on his shoes and runs out the door. His mother calls, 'Ming! You need breakfast!' But he cannot hear her. He runs down the stairs very fast. His stomach is empty. He feels hungry already. It is 8:20 AM.
