Story
- Marco wakes up at 7 o'clock every morning. Today is different. He gets out of bed and sees a strange note under his door. The note says: 'Meet me at the café on Main Street at 10 o'clock. I have something important to show you.' Marco doesn't know who wrote it, but he feels excited.
- Marco arrives at the café at 10 o'clock in the morning. A woman sits at a table near the window. She smiles and says, 'Hello Marco! I am Sofia. I work at the museum. We need help with a special project.' She shows him a photograph of an old map. Marco is very interested.
- Marco ignores the note. He follows his normal routine. At 8 o'clock, he has breakfast. At 9 o'clock, he goes to work at the office. At 10 o'clock, his phone rings. It is Sofia from the museum. She says, 'Marco, I sent you a note. Do you want to help us?' Now Marco is confused and curious.
- Sofia explains the project. 'We have an old map. We need someone to search for information about it. The work is on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.' Marco thinks it sounds interesting. Sofia says, 'You can start tomorrow at 9 o'clock.' Marco feels excited about this new opportunity.
- Marco tells Sofia, 'I need time to think about it.' Sofia understands. She says, 'Call me on Friday at 3 o'clock. I want to know your answer.' Marco leaves the café and thinks about the project all day. On Friday at 3 o'clock, he calls Sofia. But she doesn't answer. The next day, Marco reads in the…
- Marco leaves work at 10:30 in the morning. He drives to the museum. Sofia is waiting for him. She says, 'Thank you for coming! We need help today. Can you start at 1 o'clock after lunch?' Marco agrees. He has lunch in the museum café and then begins the project.
- Marco tells Sofia, 'Call me at 5 o'clock after work.' At 5 o'clock, Sofia calls. Marco listens to her project. It sounds very interesting. Sofia says, 'Can you come to the museum tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock?' Marco says yes. He is happy and excited.
- Marco asks Sofia about the pay. Sofia says, 'We pay 20 dollars per hour. You work 4 hours on Tuesday and 4 hours on Thursday.' Marco thinks this is good money. He says, 'I accept! I will start tomorrow.' Sofia smiles and gives him her phone number. Marco feels very happy.
